In the Large-Scale Distributed Systems group, I did research into data dissemination with Gossiping in a Wireless Sensor Network of MyriaNode Badges and investigated a metric for measuring the effectiveness of a Gossip protocol. Together with my teammate, we proposed a new algorithm that showed significant improvement in terms of latency and reachability over the currently implemented algorithm.

Developed and introduced a completely automated monitoring environment based on the BS7799-2:2005 standard in order to change the reactive maintenance model into a pro-active one.

Advising a construction engineering firm with regards to the desirability to setup an own IT department in order to gain more manageability. Also started the conversion of the Microsoft Access database into a MySQL database including a web based front-end.
