Bijlesconnect is een online platform waarop leraren zich kunnen inschrijven en worden gevonden door bijleszoekenden. We streven ernaar om hiermee (bij)lessen betaalbaar te maken voor degenen die een beetje hulp nodig hebben, al is het maar iemand die helpt met het rustig en stapsgewijs denken over huiswerkopgaves en toetsvragen. Mijn verantwoordelijkheid binnen dit bedrijf is de ontwikkeling van de volledige applicatie en deels de marketing en gesprekken met scholen.

Working at Atlas Copco Airpower to create and improve smart control systems for their industry-leading compressors that are used in factories all over the world. This involves working with challenging design constraints and project requirements. It also involves closely communicating and coordinating with many teams, and having a good understanding of low level applications.

Collaborated as a key member of a team in the end-to-end development of a website for a Capture the Flag event, organized by Axxes and HCS Company. Engaged in requirements gathering, conceptual design in Figma, and technology stack selection, opting for Angular with TailwindCSS and Strapi CMS within an NX monorepository. Leveraged this stack to achieve good SEO. Utilized an agile approach to ensure flexible, iterative development and timely delivery. Personally architected a robust CI/CD pipeline and managed the deployment of staging and production environments. The site was deployed on Netlify, while the CMS—featuring Strapi and its PostgreSQL database—was hosted on Azure App Service and Azure SQL Database. The site serves not only as a registration portal but also includes real-time features such as a scoreboard and a streaming page, improving user engagement and event participation, which was a requirement of the project.

Signify is a lighting company that owns philips lighting. They have a product line called maxos fusion, which are special products that are installed in large supermarkets and warehouses. For their customers, they have a tool that can calculate exactly the required components to install maxos fusion lighting in the way they want. I worked on this tool with two senior backend developers. The tool is written in Vue, and works with a REST API that performs all product calculations. I worked on adding new features to the frontend, resolving many bugs, migrating the app from Vue 2 to Vue 3 and migrating to Vite. One of the big wins was improving the build times by about 5 times. Another big win was improving the frontend CI/CD pipeline with unit and end-to-end tests. I also collaborated with my team on the backend to write complicated collision detection logic required to calculate which products fit where according to the product specifications, with the corresponding thorough unit tests.

A web-app that cleverly lists colleagues and includes a game to guess which image belongs to a random name with a score board with the best scoring people. The purpose is for all (newer)colleagues to get to know each the company.

Ellipsis drive is een opslagplaats voor spatial data. Een van de grootste uitdagingen die Ellipsis Drive aanpakt is het toegankelijk maken van data voor onderzoekers, en daar hoort bij dat het geïmporteerd kan worden in vrijwel elke library die met spatial data werkt. Ik was verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van npm packages, python scripts en python libraries die dit mogelijk maken. Ook heb ik op eigen initiatief een library ontwikkeld die gegevens slim ophaalt en cacht die nu door alle npm packages van ellipsis drive wordt gebruikt.
