In partnership with the Dean's cabinet, manage the administration, execution, and assessment of the Leeds strategic plan. Act as a thought partner to establish strategic priorities, identify metrics for success, and evaluate processes toward those metrics. Collaborate extensively with departments across the college and university to project manage large-scale school initiatives. Develop efficiencies to improve the operations of the school, oversee the operations of the Dean's suite, and supervise office staff. Coordinate the AACSB accreditation and ARPAC processes.

Provide leadership and supervision for undergraduate admissions and scholarship programs at the Leeds School of Business. Manage freshman admissions and enrollment to meet the strategic goals of the college, including an increasingly talented and diverse incoming class. Set policies regarding admissions criteria and scholarship awarding, and continually utilize data to determine effectiveness of current practices and need for new strategies. Create and implement targeted recruitment practices, including on and off-campus events, marketing, communications, and customer service for prospective students and their families. Recruit students for various top scholar and diversity programs. Oversee the awarding of $3 million+ in scholarship awards each year, along with the management of a departmental budget. Hire and supervise full-time staff, part-time staff, student interns, and a student ambassador program to meet recruitment goals.

Engaged with prospective students and families regarding admissions, scholarships, and program opportunities at the Leeds School of Business to reach strategic planning goals. Collaborated with the CU Admissions Office to read admissions applications and make admission decisions for prospective business school students. Planned and executed large-scale campus visits, including Leeds Preview Day; a visit program attracting nearly 500 visitors to campus, as well as high school visits and off-campus recruitment events. Managed the Leeds Ambassadors student organization, which consists of approximately 40 current Leeds students. Oversaw the hiring and management of seven student interns in the Undergraduate Programs Office. Coordinated the awarding of over $1.5 million in student scholarships to recruit talented and diverse students to the Leeds School and retain current students. Promoted to Director of Recruitment and Scholarships after 1.5 yrs in the coordinator position.

Advised undergraduate students in the Leeds School of Business on academic planning to promote retention and timely graduation. Provided students with information and encouragement to embrace university resources and opportunities to enhance the undergraduate experience at CU-Boulder. Instructed a freshman seminar in the fall to help students transition into college and explore career options in business. Responsible for advising all accounting students as well as management students. Served on university committees focused on international students, structured advising practices, and the development of resources to assist students in academic and career decision-making. Collaborated with offices and departments across campus to ensure student success. Promoted to Recruitment & Scholarship Coordinator after eight months on the advising team.

Led group and individual counseling sessions with students on topics including: the college search, essays, applications, financial aid, and interview preparation. Reviewed and offered recommendations on college application essays. Conducted mock interviews with students to prepare for admission interviews. Wrote counselor recommendation letters to accompany students’ college applications. Utilized Microsoft Excel and Naviance to track student progress through the admission and financial aid processes. Developed and managed social media presence for the college counseling office. Designed creative displays and resources to develop a college-bound culture and publicize information to students.

Instructed approximately 250 students per year in social studies coursework including: World Geography, United States History, and American Government. Elevated the use of technology in the classroom, and collaborated with colleagues in 2014 to share technology resources to teachers across the state of Colorado at the annual Colorado Council for the Social Studies Conference. Presented breakout sessions at staff development events and Poudre School District's post-secondary planning night. Assisted with the creation of the district common summative assessment which was administered to all Poudre School District 11th graders beginning May 2015. Participated in the AVID Site Team to further develop the AVID program. Guest presented in the AVID classes and coordinated campus field trips to build a college-going culture. Sponsored National Honor Society and the Mock Trial Team, and assisted students in post-secondary planning. Mentored and supervised a student teacher from Colorado State University in the fall of 2014.

Advised and educated students and families about the admissions process for CU-Boulder. Hosted preview and reception programs for prospective and admitted students. Assisted with campus visit programs ranging from 2-6000 attendees. Attended college fairs as a representative for the university. Visited and presented admissions information to high schools throughout northern Colorado, northern California, and Missouri. Read approximately 2,200 admissions applications; both freshman and transfer. Made admissions decisions for all applicants from my assigned geographic regions.
