Second in command as the Company Executive Officer for the Seminole Battalion's Weapons Company while deployed to the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel. Assist the Commander in mission planning and accomplishment. Assumes command of the company as required and ensures that tactical reports from the platoons are forwarded to the battalion tactical operations center (TOC). Locates where I can maintain communications with the company commander and the battalion. Responsible for planning and supervising before the battle, along with the first sergeant, the company's sustainment operations and is responsible for the company command post. Ensures that pre-combat inspections are complete. Plans and coordinates logistical support with agencies outside the company. Prepares or aids in preparing paragraph 4 of the company operation order (OPORD). May help the company commander plan the mission and execute critical aspects of the operation when needed. Performs duties as the unit maintenance officer.
