Driven, well informed and responsible, I am passionate about facilitating unexpected artworks and engaging with artists and designers to attract people to new places, creating publicity and encouraging footfall whilst ensuring a creative narrative. With 10 years experience founding and curating NOW Galley and as cultural consultant to Greenwich Peninsula, I am a flexible, forward thinker, using 30 years of cultural knowledge, with a critical and wide outlook.HOW I WORK• I create exhibitions and events to make an organisation shine• With 201k visitors at NOW Gallery in 10 years, collaborating with artists, on the cusp of success ensuring impactful exhibitions. Working as a catalyst with designers and artists like Studio Morison, Kinska, and Something & Son’s facilitating their potential• Generating joyful, colourful exhibitions with a sense of wellbeing using designers such as: Camilla Walala Emmanuelle Moreaux; Fred Butler. Thus democratising art• Connecting with diverse collectives and individuals is vital to my work practice: PRIM, The Laundry Arts, The Photography Foundation, Nicholas Daley and others. To create significant networks, share stories that open doors to appreciation• Financially responsible. Managed an annual 350k budget • As a placemaker – I make space for everyone. I commissioned a 60m picnic table by Studio Morison, and seating on Peninsula Square by Raw Edges; plus a Bird Watching book• A cross-disciplinary approach is vital: collaborating with DJs, musicians, performance artists, storytellers…This attracted new audiences and created cultural cache. Featuring: Skepta, Black Girl Knit Club, and Clod Ensemble• Collaborating with diverse stakeholders and pursuing social engagement to initiate ambitious outcomes• An interactive experience for visitors increases dwell time, purpose in the gallery: with origami, brickmaking, stamps, or adding ribbons to a giant ribbon jumper. People were engaged• Serious assets, create serious coverage. Talented photographers and videographers greatly increasing PR and social media. My experience in PR enabled me to design a gallery, with a varied programme, creating relevant stories that resonated with the press• As an experienced team leader, mentoring, developing, supporting and giving opportunity to grow are key• With 6 years at Chelsea School of Art and The Royal College and with my practice as an artist, I have networks and a comprehensive understanding of contemporary art• Directed, financed and produced 10 short films shown internationally

Founding Curator And Cultural Coordinator Now GalleryKnight Dragon Jan 2014 - Jun 2024Greenwich Peninsula, LondonNOW Gallery creates a public art programme unlike any other, by inviting artists, designers and fashion designers to come up with unprecedented installations. We give creatives the opportunity to explore an unusual space, expand their practice and come up with interactive ideas to draw in both locals and visitors to Greenwich Peninsula. With our diverse programme includes Camille Walala, Alex Chinneck, Molly Goddard, Something & Sons and Kinska and every exhibition has had its own distinctive take and brings in different audiences, The audience numbers are increasing steadily as Galley's visibility increases, helped by the ever growing amount of press the gallery gets. We are creating an ongoing discussion about what public art can be and why it is important. There is also a commitment to creating a permanent cultural legacy on Greenwich Peninsula. With the arrival of The Tide – a sculptural walkway by the renown architects DS+R come a number of interventions. A sixty seater picnic bench, ‘Seafood Disco’, designed by Studio Morison looks towards the Thames Barrier. With four barbecues, a 25 metre long abalone encrusted table top with funfair inspired seating – coconuts feature. This green space brings communities together to cook, gather, eat and river watch. One of our first commissions by Raw Edges was to design seating for Peninsula Square. This has changed the way the square is used. The rush to the O2 is slowed by comfortable concrete sculptural chairs that make people stop and dwell. Working with collaborators has always been key to creating events and encouraging new connections. We work with Dance Umbrella and have featured two staggering performances. Florence Peake and Pepa Ubera, Clare Orme were commissioned to create performances in response to the area. Empathy Museum, Jason Bruges, Neon, Kate Dimbleby, GDIF and many others add to our discourse and celebrate how art, design, music can enliven and make a neighbourhood. -
