Having worked for XPO for 6 years I have reached the graded level of Section Manager and currently run the Picking, Sortation, Packing, PR and Despatch for the Ecom department. I have 5 team leaders and in excess of 140 operatives. Below are brief descriptions of my journey with XPO:• My main duties are to coach, train and mentor my team to reach their potential, upskill and achieve SLA/KPIs daily.• To control the flow and movement of products and packages according to strict customer SLAs. This can be up to 90,000 items in a day.• Monitor and review performance of all staff using computer-designed analysis of individual, team and section performance.• Working with inexperienced team leaders, I train and coach how to become a leader and in addition how to develop in their communication, presentation, performance and accountability of duties• Design and hold engagement activities throughout each month to enthuse and encourage better performance and team building. I also run training sessions for other departments so they too can upskill and reach their potential.• Hold regular performance reviews, section meetings and attend senior meetings to present performance and engagement activities.• I have also been the section manager for the inbound and wholesale team during my time at Missguided.

• As a Transport Planner, I would plan deliveries to B&Q stores from the RCC Warehouse using Paragon Software. • Be responsible for driver allocation and trailer fill for each store or pairing stores together due to the volume available for the planned delivery days. • Liaise with stores if any delivery times needed changing, and other B&Q departments throughout the network in regards to collecting vendor for delivery into stores. • I would also liaise with sub-contractors confirming any runs allocated with details of the stores, their delivery times and addresses.
