  • Opportunus
    Content Lead And Brand Strategist
    Opportunus Jul 2022 - Mar 2023
    Newton-Le-Willows, England, United Kingdom
In April of 2022, I took on the role of Creative Conceptual Brand Strategist at Opportunus Creative Consultancy, based in their head office at Newton-le-Willows. After five months in this role I was elevated to the role of Head of Content at the agency, giving me the perfect opportunity to merge high-level strategic thinking with my creative experience. Since joining Opportunus, I have been responsible for the development and execution of major brand proposition rejuvenations for a number of our key accounts. These projects have required me to be solely responsible for the creation of new brand propositions, verbal identities and subsequent content strategies and retainer work. One of these clients is the multi-billion pound freight haulier, Freightliner. The role regularly requires me to work closely with client stakeholders a C-suite level to run my own framework of discovery sessions, persona mapping and insights workshops, enabling the agency to extract what we need to enhance our clients' market opportunity. I am also in the process of growing a small team of copywriters and have been able to hone my leadership skills during my time at Opportunus so far. As of early 2023, I am currently working to develop content strategy plans for a number of the agency’s most significant accounts, working very closely with stakeholders, whom I'm always able to easily build strong rapports with. I am more than capable and comfortable when it comes to the client-facing aspect of my role, as well as being a confident presenter. I’ve proved myself quickly at Opportunus to be a hands-on member of the team, always bringing bags of enthusiasm and positivity to the office each day, especially in the face of any challenges a project might run up against.

From January 2017 until July 2019 I held the position of Creative Copywriter at the multi-award-winning digital marketing and employer brand agency, Ph Creative. Based in their Liverpool head office, I was one half of the Creative Content department, playing a pivotal role in the dynamic studio team. • Unrvld
    Creative Copywriter
    Unrvld Oct 2014 - Dec 2016
    Leeds, United Kingdom
During my time at Leeds Beckett University, I was also working hard alongside my studies to secure a role in a creative marketing agency, with the aim of heading straight into a copywriting post after graduation. While still studying, I was offered the only internship spot available at the award-winning digital marketing and design agency, Delete (now known as UNRVLD).For over two years I held the position of Creative Copywriter, based in their Leeds head office. After securing a full-time permanent contract with them after completing my internship and graduating, I was thrown into the deep and given the role of Copy and Content Executive (the only content writing role within the agency at the time). As the agency, up to this point, had only ever specialising in visual rebranding and website design, I was single-handedly responsible for the planning and execution of various content briefs for a varied portfolio of clients, as UNRVLD began to build my skillset into their service offering. My role here gave me a baptism of fire in terms of entering the creative agency world and I instantly found a love for the industry and agency life. Client-wise, my time at UNRVLD also allowed me to work on some excellent projects at such a green stage of my career. I was able to produce standout content and campaign work for the likes of Leeds Beckett University, University of Essex, Carluccio's, Sequence Homes, Rackspace, Southampton FC, Red Bull, Manheim Automotive, Expedia, Just Eat and IAMS - to name but a few.In 2016 the Delete brand underwent a complete overhaul and redesign, including copy rejuvenation with a new tone of voice and identity for the company going forward, which I played a pivotal role in shaping alongside my Creative Director.
