Project Engineering Intern
CurrentDuring my internship at Syngenta Grangemouth, I was part of the Project Engineering department, contributing to several project teams. My responsibilities included constructing site instructions ensuring clear and concise documentation for deconstruct and installation activities. Additionally, I demonstrated my ability to proactively anticipate and address potential challenges through maintenance planning for both a new pump installation and the site's cooling towers.Furthermore, I conducted individual projects:- Developing a steam trap selection guideline, expanding my understanding of the internal workings of different trap variations and safety considerations to optimize system efficiency and reliability.- Spearheading the investigation into possible safety valve replacements, prioritizing safety and compliance within the industrial setting. I obtained multiple quotes to determine the most efficient financial approach for future CAPEX plans.Additionally I showcased my analytical and technical skills by creating a comprehensive tool using Excel and Power BI for CAPEX planning. This tool facilitated efficient resource allocation, wage distribution per quarter optimising asset management with visual aids.Through these diverse projects, I gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience within an industrial environment. I developed transferable skills such as effective collaboration with cross-profession teams, strong problem-solving and documentation skills, and project management. These skills are highly relevant and can be applied in various professional settings, allowing me to contribute significantly to operational excellence.
