I work closely, liaising with our marketing agency to ensure our brand is recognised as one of the biggest in our industry. Currently, I control all of our social media accounts and like to focus on updating our customers on various jobs we undertake with photos and videos, giving a more personal and friendly feel via our social media accounts.My skills and capabilities go above and beyond the guidelines of my general job role. I believe my versatile and resourceful nature has helped me excel in many areas of the business, making me an asset to the team. Due to this, I like to maintain the work of my previous roles alongside my main job role. Accounts ManagerEasymix Concrete Uk Ltd Mar 2016 - Aug 2017Due to unforeseeable circumstances, I decided to return from my maternity leave early to help support the business when our previous accounts manager was taken gravely ill. Under my previous role and due to my desire to learn, develop and grow, I worked closely with our previous accounts manager and learnt a great deal from her.As a self taught accountant with limited knowledge and a basic understanding of Sage 50, I took over the accounts and payroll for EasyMix. With help from our chartered accountants, I managed to learn about journal entries, prepayment releases, HP interest and depreciation. I was responsible for paying our Paye, VAT and doing our bank reconciliations. After two months of limited training and with thanks to my fast learning capabilities I had mastered the accounts department. Along with these tasks I would produce company accounts and create spreadsheets to help break down the sales and highlight key strengths and weaknesses of the business.Along with my accounts role, I still kept up with my previous role of HR, Health and safety as much as I could, as this position was left unfilled. In addition to this I delved into the world of marketing and gained an awareness of our growing brand. I implemented and ran the social media accounts for the business further promoting our services on a new platform.In any free time I had I would create promotional newsletters and flyers which we would email out to prospective customers, some of which still remain loyal customers today. Using my initiative and passion for the business, I constantly strive to go above and beyond expectations. As an organised and extremely resourceful member of my team I like to think of myself as a 'Multi-tasking genius' But of course this was a lot of work for one person to take on, so In July 2017 we decided to hire a new accountant who I trained to take over my role as accounts manager. On our first annual compliance survey/audit, we managed to achieve over 90% which is a tremendous achievement. I would analyse our best sellers and ensure these were in a prominent position and fully restocked. I would dress mannequins and create visual displays to encourage customers to buy additional products that complimented some of our most favored pieces, increasing average basket.Due to my attention to detail with visual merchandising (VM) I was hand selected to join part of Matalan’s refresh team. I was incredibly grateful for the opportunities I was given within Matalan which in turn prompted a lot of self-growth and helped shape me into the sales-driven, heavily customer focused employee I am today. I pride myself on delivering quality service with an approachable and friendly nature.In 2014 I decided to leave Matalan with no regrets or hard feelings. It was a fabulous job with fabulous people but new doors had started to open for me that I wanted to explore. So I took the leap!
