My work life prior to CFB was with Southworks Mall Inc as an owner/operator of several retail stores including Endlines, Bux Fashions, Sock Factory, BookWorks, The Toy Store, Muskoka Lakes and more. I was also responsible for tenant relations, marketing and event planning. With experience in all things retail from buying, merchandising, recruiting, training, budgeting, inventory management and special events to store design and layout, I have a very diverse skill set and a passion for exceeding expectations!My involvement with The Cambridge Food Bank has taken many forms since 2011 from being on the board for 9 years to becoming a staff member in 2020 as the Capital Campaign Project Lead.All of my time with CFB being enlightening and rewarding. As the organization prepares to launch its first capital campaign, I am thrilled to be part of that campaign. I foster community engagement and education which is key for the kind of support needed on this journey. I bring strong donor stewardshipskills as well as excellent organizational skills and enjoy public speaking.A new location for the Cambridge Food Bank is needed! The plans and possibilities for this new location are beyond exciting and will enable us to serve our community in the best ways possible!!Prior to the Cambridge Food Bank, my volunteer life was with Waterloo Regional Police as an auxiliary officer for almost 17 years. I truly enjoyed the many years of working with the service supporting parent officers on calls, traffic duties and staying up to date on use of force and training requirements.
