I want the environments we live in to be engaging, nurturing, awe-inspiring (and fun!), integrating both natural elements and the unexpected into our built world. I believe in a contextually-driven, collaborative design approach that works to discover and define project aspirations, designing to both the human and built contexts of each project. I am involved in projects from planning and conceptual design through detailing, construction, and occupancy.In my free time I've also been a giant puppet maker, paper-mache artist, lampmaker, pizza maker, carpenter, cabinet maker, organic farmer, and aspiring orchardist. My passions are making and growing things and exploring how things do and could come together.
