I was asked to fill-in during a staffing reshuffle, and was ultimately invited to join the school full-time. Through regular volunteering in leading the weekly Forest School, and a presentation around my experience on Kilimanjaro which included a hands-on experiment to support the students' unit on volcanoes, the Foundation Stage Leader knew of my skills in teaching children in fun, creative and age-appropriate ways. I was entrusted with designing new displays and play areas, as well as one-to-one support for a challenged student.

Responsible for the post-sale customer experience for upwards of five hundred couples at any one time, monitoring the supply chain for problems and correcting them when they do appear while maintaining good relations with the customer while managing their expectations.

Managed enquiry database and enrollment journey, requiring the development and execution of various direct mail campaigns within a tight budgets and timeframes. Coordinated print jobs including the annual prospectus, managed printer/mailing house relationships, designed various graphics pieces on demand as well as collated and wrote copy for letters and ads. Organized photo archives, publications library and shared hard drive. Managed 14 work-study students.

The Baking Sheet (bi-monthly baking newsletter) - created, coordinated and implemented promotional offers using direct mail through multiple delivery channels maximizing response rates/ROI. Maintained and negotiated printer and mail house contracts for recurring and single run print jobs/promotions. Promotions for The Baking Sheet in 2002 resulted in a 20% increase in subscriptions, increased the overall life time value of current customers and created a loyalty scheme/campaign to retain and manage the loyalty of new subscribers. Package Insert Program (PIP) manager - responsible for maintaining business-to-business relationships, tracked inventory and response rates of package inserts in outgoing boxes, coordinated trades with other businesses. Advertising - Negotiated advertising for monthly ads in various local and New England publications.Baker’s Companion (best-selling cookbook) – graphics coordinator for the new cookbook. Responsible for creative pieces for multiple departments with varying budgets and target markets General company-wide help from seasonal warehouse picking/packing. Test kitchen assistance – baking, photography prep. Catalogue help – editing, photo prep, layout assistance, product sourcing. National Baking Class – roadie, assistant, set builder, hype-girl, etc. Event assistance, team building and all-around useful person to have around.
