With 16 years of diverse experience in the makeup industry, I have worked across various settings, including commercial projects, events, fashion, and print. My expertise spans a wide range of makeup services, from special effects to catwalk, beauty, and bridal.In 2014, I was honoured to receive the Makeup Artist of the Year Award at the Professional Beauty Awards, a recognition that propelled my career to new heights. This accolade opened doors to numerous publications and opportunities to assist and lead teams at fashion weeks around the globe.Over the last 16 years, I have worked nationally and internationally on campaign shoots, and teaching across a number of institutes on all levels of qualifications. I bring to the role a range of makeup experience spanning 15 years in a variety of settings, from retail training to delivering college courses and writing and delivering private training programmes, and working for myself as a freelance makeup artist.I’m passionate about upskilling and instilling confidence in our retail staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to provide the 5* customer service that our customers are familiar with.Whilst in this role I have written and accredited the first LUSH Makeup Diploma. The programme is externally recognised by an awarding body and staff who complete the course will have a professional certificate of completion. The course is tailored to LUSH Makeup and the unique service we offer in our stores.In addition to training, I am responsible for a team of 80+ staff from across all markets who take part in our Makeup Hub, and internal talent pool for makeup enthusiasts. Individuals from across the UK and Europe come together to share ideas and opportunities and assist our team of professionals on events, campaigns shoots and creative work.I am also involved in campaigns for e-comm and the LUSH Times magazine, often organising teams to assist with shoot days on set. The opportunity to get involved with the research and development of products is another exciting part of my role at LUSH. My most recent college role was an exciting opportunity presented by private training academy in Denton, Manchester. pLouise Training Academy offered both private and funded courses for adults and in my time there I taught and assessed on both VTCT Level 2 and 3 diplomas.

In addition to my background in retail makeup management and training, I am also a qualifiedteacher and assessor with experience delivering a range of training courses and qualifications inboth college and private institutions.At my time at St.Helens College, I delivered and guided students through their VTCT Level 2 Makeup Artistry and Level 3 Makeup Diplomas, specialising in Fashion and Photography and Media Makeup units.

My first role within the cosmetics industry was with MAC Cosmetics in 2008 in Manchester, and then again from 2014 in the flagship Liverpool store. My time at MAC provided me with the knowledge and skills to be able to form connections with customers, allowing my artistry to improve with every consultation. It gave me a greater understanding of monitoring targets, and how important consultations are in the process of the customer journey.
