In general I am responsible for the day to day admin in the company, processing orders, invoices and payments as well as organising travel arranging meetings. My job requires me to communicate with a variety of people from CEOs of both clients and suppliers to designers who may be based in other countries.

As an account manager my job was to look after several key clients. I would see their jobs through from the initial quoting period to despatching and everything in between. Often the job was more of a project management one as different aspects of a job may be going on in different places and I would have to make sure everything was running on time to all come together for the final finished product. I found that having problem solving skills was key here.

I started when I was 11 just stuffing envelopes after work and since then have been given more and more responsibilities. Aside from regular administrational duties I have also created databases of potential new experts and helped ensure the office was up to standards to apply for an ISO.

where I assisted with Norwich Union's paper based claim filing system. This position enabled me to gain experience working in an office environment and to learn more about how a company like Norwich Union operates. By asking lots of questions and shadowing other members of staff I developed a good understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
