- Understand the unique risk management challenges facing local businesses as a community-owned brokerage.- Lead a team of insurance professionals and service clients located in offices spread throughout British Columbia, including: Nelson, Trail, Cranbrook, Invermere, Kimberley, Crawford Bay, and Summerland.- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's commercial insurance division and increase market share.- Provide commercial brokering services to a designated high-value book of business requiring advanced knowledge of carrier appetite, risk management and client retention strategies.- Implement broker education tools and training programs to enhance their understanding of our products and services, ultimately improving sales effectiveness.- Leverage broker technologies and digital platforms to streamline processes. Expertise in optimization of Epic - the state of the art broker management portal. - Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities - Foster strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry partners to develop a collaborative network- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.- Provide leadership and guidance to staff on insurance resources, industry trends, and best practices.

- Brokering new business specifically in the areas of new construction, high value homes & hard to place risks. -Playing an essential role in helping individuals and families protect their assets and minimize their financial risk by providing expert guidance. - Developing positive working relationships with assigned underwriters at each of our carriers. -Systemized approach to servicing a book of business including processing policy changes, managing email correspondence and tracking A/R lists.-Search for and compare policies from multiple insurance carriers to find the best coverage at the most competitive price.

-Provide expert advice on all personal lines insurance products (home, auto, boat, and travel) including coverages, limits of coverage and carrier selection.-Use a wide range of insurance company portals to access quotes, bind, endorse, renew or cancel a policy.-Liaison between all parties to the insurance process including: clients, producers, claims adjusters, underwriters, notaries and other account managers.-Use of broker management tools such as EPIC, BC Assessment, Fire Underwriters Survey, Replacement Cost Calculators etc.

-Broker auto policies for a wide variety of automobiles using ICBC and private auto insurance; underwriting questions with due diligence, matching Insurers with appropriate risks, ensuring adequate coverage for clients and full awareness of risks.-Achieved Level II Insurance Broker's License (Fundamentals, CAIB 2, CAIB 3)-Office management duties; ordering necessary inventory, batching and filing documents, BCP over the phone for COVID-19 with online filing and DocuSign. -Use of EPIC portal for processing and transacting.

-Weekly lessons with students training to complete Royal Conservatory of Music exams, perform in recitals and competitions, and achieve high school music credits.-Teaching large workshops of over 30 students for 8 week long programs.-Adjudicating auditions for London Arts Council, "London Arts Live" grant program.
