    I was leading a team of youth workers in a pilot program which I set up to provide additional mental health support for Victorian Headspace services. My main role was to facilitate the response to the identified local impacts of COVID-19 restrictions, by increasing services’ capacity to connect with young people and their families who had disengaged from education, employment or whose social and emotional wellbeing had been adversely impacted. The youth outreach team facilitated community-based assessment, safety planning and pathways to care in Headspace centres or youth service partners locally and enhanced the multi disciplinary youth services team within Headspace and YSAS. I liaised with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that young people were supported by appropriate services. I provided supervision and supported the newly graduated workers learning and professional development through capacity building interventions.
