Urban Sprouts is a boutique plant brand specializing in curating and maintaining plants indoors. The company has grown from just me running a small 900 square foot retail shop in Ballard (Seattle WA) in 2015 to a fully-stocked, experience based 2,000 square foot retail location with 12 employees in Renton (opened 2016) in 2019. The company also includes a warehouse location ((opened in 2019) used for shipping/receiving, wholesaling, and product development) and and many digital services including a plant care text support line, daily social media posts, website with online store, subscription services, and interactive social media segments aimed at educating and engaging new plant owners. My job is to oversee my retail and warehouse teams, work sales shifts in the shop, research and buy product, merchandise and regularly update workflow and customer experience in the shop, plan content for Facebook/Instagram/email campaigns, create promotions, run weekly department and staff meetings, manage interdepartmental interactions, and generally lead and grow the business. I hope to expand again in the next 2-3 years with a second retail location.

Wrote grant proposals for other projects.
