Graduate Research Assistant

Baltimore, Maryland, United States

I collected and managed qualitative data, designed Qualtrics surveys for data collection, prepared research manuscripts and writing for the Baltimore Urban food Distribution (BUD) study, which is a systems intervention that leverages a mobile application to address supply-side challenges. Additionally, I conducted qualitative and quantitative data collection and co-authored R01 and R34 grants with our research team for a food resiliency/emergency preparedness study called the Support Application for Food Pantries (SAFPAS). SAFPAS aims at using a mobile application to support food pantries in recruiting and managing volunteers, communicating with volunteers, clients, and city agencies in Baltimore, and helping pantry clients make healthier food choices during normal and emergency operations. I conducted a scoping review with a fellow colleague for food security screening and referral practices to promote health equity in hospital systems through secured funding from the Urban Health Institute.
