My role was mainly based around all aspects of client service. I organised client events such as our annual budget breakfast, I carried out all PA duties for our Managing Director, and I met and greeted any clients that come in to the office. I was the first point of contact for many of our clients and really enjoyed building a relationship with them.I was also responsible for creating and implementing our marketing strategy, which covers all bases including:Keeping our website up to date (including writing copy)Writing copy and designing adverts for press releasesWriting and distributing our quarterly newsletterManaging our social media marketingArranging client eventsAttendance at networking events to raise the company profileMarket research to create new target client groupsAs well as the client based aspects of the job I also led the Social & Charity committee, arranging staff nights out and charity fundraisers.Abercrombie Gemmell were acquired by French Duncan in June 2014, as a result of which I joined their marketing team.

Implementation of three main aspects of the company internal comms - management of the company intranet, in-house plasma screens, and writing and sending out weekly social and fortnightly business newsletters. Writing of occasional internal communications pieces, carry out legal compliance checks on all creative files and assistance with proofreading of external advertising. Management of the staff recognition scheme and leading the Social Committee. Also organised new product launches internally for up to 200 staff, including arranging for branded merchandise, desk drop leaflets and catering. Volunteered for Hearts in Action to organise charity events for various causes, including leading on Children in Need fundraising each year.

Bristol, United Kingdom

Responsible for full diary management for two Directors, including organisation and prioritisation of meetings, by liasing with outside agencies, directors and their PA’s on a daily basis. Preparation of papers for monthly senior management meetings, including minute taking. Booking of travel and accommodation, both national and international.Also fielding of calls and e-mails for employers, general admin including typing, staff sickness and holiday records and processing invoices. Organising bi-annual conferences for up to 180 people and social events for up to 100 people, including the Christmas party. I also provided cover when the other PA staff were on annual leave, including for the MD.
