In my classes I have developed skills a counselor must have such as interpersonal skills, addressing mental health and emotional needs, treatment planning, verbal and written communication skills, active listening skills, good observation skills of client behaviors and words, and forming meaningful relationships with clients. My aim is to leverage my abilities to successfully complete my practicum and gain valuable experience in a professional setting as well as refine the skills I have and learn new ones.
