• Responsible for business development of St. Charles engineering office activities• Responsible for oversight of engineering team in delivery of engineering projects for local clients• Assist clients with capital planning activities for water and wastewater system improvements• Perform coordination efforts between offices for engineering project execution• Provide technical assistance to existing water and wastewater Operations & Maintenance clients

• Responsible for business development of comprehensive solutions in the municipal and health care markets. • Manage sales cycle and project close of energy performance contracts• Work with top level (C-level) executives to develop solutions aligned with client’s strategic goals• Identify and investigate energy conservation opportunities with regards to HVAC, lighting, controls, steam, and water and wastewater equipment

• Participate on business development growth team. Activities include sales strategy review of product offering and pricing with emphasis on features, benefits and advantages analysis• Perform as project lead engineer for water and wastewater projects. Includes reviewing status and budgets of development projects, managing schedules, assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives• Responsible for technical support to existing facility operations. Includes development of annual operating budgets as well continued support to ensure these budgets are met• Responsible for conceptual design of water and wastewater treatment systems for new industrial and municipal projects. Design responsibilities include investigation into various treatment and operational options to determine the lowest life cycle cost• Development of operational improvement programs for existing projects to reduce operating costs including capital improvement projects• Development of capital and operating budgets for all development projects. Perform financial process modeling including NPV and IRR calculations for project justifications.• Development of recommended contract fee structures including fixed and variable fee schedules.

Design Responsibilities• Perform as project lead engineer for chemical and water treatment systems. Responsible for overseeing design, budget and schedule of less experienced engineers.• Perform detailed design calculations for chemical feed, sampling and analysis, demineralization, condensate polishing, clarification and waste water treatment systems• Developed process flow diagrams and piping and instrument diagrams• Administer equipment contracts from specification development through close of contract and act as primary technical contact for equipment suppliers. Includes bid evaluations, negotiations and vendor performance management• Concurrent management of multiple contracts on multiple large EPC projects• Developed system definitions and operating procedures to describe detailed system function and components• Ensure system designs meets Black & Veatch and specific industry engineering guides and standards• Responsible for chemical system design coordination with other B&V engineering disciplines (including OUS offices) as well as with outside contractors• Liaison to jobsite for equipment installation and startup• Prepare water balances and discharge characteristics to aid in permitting processesField Responsibilities• Startup of equipment with values in excess of $1million, including demineralization equipment, chemical feed equipment, sampling and analysis equipment • Extensive experience in pre-operational chemical cleanings of heat recovery steam generators. Includes contractor supervision, waste management, end-cleaning inspections as well as performance of all cleaning operations and onsite laboratory tests• On-site equipment troubleshooting
