I am a doctor of educational leadership, Ed.D. I have been an educator since 2009. I am certified to teach English and History in MI, Social Studies and English in LA, social science and English in MO, and I am a certified k12 and CO administrator in MI. I have served as an adjunct professor, a subject matter expert, an online instructor, a brick-and-mortar teacher, mentor, teacher-leader, principal, superintendent, adult education coordinator, and curriculum leader, and curriculum coordinator. My specializations include DEI, leadership, trauma-informed care, and restorative practices. I’m also well-versed in writing and delivering professional development.I formerly sat in various forms of leadership positions in my local and state teaching union as well as in the county political party. I was Vice President of the KEA as well as a state and national delegate to the MEA and NEA. I have also served as a County Commissioner and ran for MI State House in 2018. I managed both of my campaigns and have found a passion for connecting with people in my community as a result of these runs for office.I’m always open to new opportunities and adventures, especially when those call for the sharing of my knowledge of best-practices for achieving equitable and safe learning environments and genuine engagement. Writing and developing curriculum for the future educator and delivering that instruction and professional development is a passion of mine.
