As Care Support Worker with CLIC Sargent I was based at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, supporting the charity's Social Workers in helping young people when they receive a cancer diagnosis, as well as offering advice, emotional, financial and practical support to their families.

Alongside account managing regional supporters; including community fundraisers and groups, volunteers and companies, I progressed regional income relationships and sources for this amazing charity. Closely collaborating with our supporters, services, hospitals, other charities and our wider team to continue fighting for young lives against cancer, so that children can thrive not just survive cancer.

In my previous role of Corporate Fundraising Coordinator I worked closely with the team’s manager and assistant to support all corporate partners of The Christie charity. Providing dedicated account management to our supporters from the day they registered, I worked closely with companies of different sizes and specialisms to strengthen relationships and ensure they were each supported throughout their partnerships with The Christie. As a team we retained support as well as developing new and existing partnerships and assisted in the planning & delivery of fundraising events; such as the annual Christie Charity Ball and our Corporate Engagement Event.

Interested in pursuing a career in fundraising, my first role in this sector was Community Fundraising Assistant at The Christie charity. Providing administrative support to the busy community fundraising team, I was the first point of contact with supporters to register their activities and provided advice and resources for their upcoming events.

Starting as an Administrator with Dance Manchester, I developed my career in the Arts & Culture sector working with Company Chameleon, receiving a promotion to become their Company Coordinator. Responsible for organising the logistics of all UK & International tours; creating schedules for dancers & collaborators, alongside processing the company finances. Line managed an assistant and supported marketing & communications strategies. I also coordinated the company's first successful crowdfunding project to kick-start Chameleon Youth.
