Hi, I'm Jen (she/her) — a technical specialist and data analyst in workplace gender equality, inclusion, and the prevention of family violence. As the co-founder of @GenderWorks Australia, I love to facilitate practical discussions about why we shouldn’t be afraid of the Gender Pay Gap and how to unlearn (un)conscious biases in the workplace. I spend my days supporting organisations to understand gendered trends on flexible work and parental leave, and why gendered norms in the workplace have far-reaching effects beyond the four walls of the office. These are the conversations we need to be having, if we want to drive real, systemic change for gender equity, inclusion and justice.Over the past five years, I’ve worked across the Victorian Public Sector, supporting the rollout of the Gender Equality Act — a first-of-its kind piece of legislation aimed to accelerate workplace gender equality. A data-nerd at heart, since 2021 I’ve led the design and execution of Workplace Gender Audit training for over 300 entities within the Victorian Public Sector, and collaborated closely with the Commission for Gender Equality to analyse data on statewide gender equality. I’ve also worked with 50+ organisations to develop bespoke plans for tackling intersectional gender inequity, with a focus on practical and evidence-based solutions. Based in Melbourne/Naarm, I’m also a parent to three rugrats, a lover of good gin and a good sunset. If you’re keen to know more about GenderWorks or get in touch about a pay gap audit, I look forward to connecting with you!
