About Jennifer Calzada, Mph, Chse, Fssh

As the Director of the Tulane Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and Team Training for over 16 years, I have led the Sim Center to successfully achieve increasing annual growth in revenue and learners. I am responsible for mission-driven direction, aligning with and supporting medicine educational objectives, supporting faculty in creating simulation curriculums, external revenue mix, and growing personnel to achieve both program and personal success. I am a certified Executive Leadership and Resilience (ELP) Coach, a Faculty Lecturer for the Association for Surgical Education Curriculum in Education Innovation and Teaching (ASCENT), and a recent Board Member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). My passion is to advance healthcare education through simulation, team training, and change management coaching. I have co-created and implemented innovative tools and programs, such as custom simulation data collection and management and the Simulation in Academic Medicine Special Interest Group. I work to enhance the quality and impact of simulation-based education and research. I have also contributed to multiple publications, grants, and workshops in the field of healthcare simulation and education.
