Funded in part by two grants from the Ford Foundation, The American Road will also connect millions of students and their parents to each other and to community organizations, volunteer opportunities, youth leadership initiatives, primary resources and mentors both to help achieve new levels of scholastic excellence and to foster greater civic involvement.
