Jennifer Davies is the Strategic Communications Manager in the Office of Communications for the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been the social media manager for the city of Las Vegas for the past 10 years. Her role and team have grown exponentially since then and she now oversees the digital, marketing and graphics teams. She is an established communicator and creative thinker who has demonstrated experience in inspiring change and bringing public sector employees together to support doing things differently. She manages the marketing efforts and social media strategy for the larger public information function for the city of Las Vegas and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue including advertising, organic social media content and community engagement, email marketing, website content and usability, analytics, brand standards and graphic design. Since starting in 2013, the city’s social media accounts have become some of the most followed local government accounts in Las Vegas and throughout the state and country. The city’s team was recently named Social Media Team of the Year by the Government Social Media Association. She is passionate about continued learning and regularly attends/speaks at conferences and teaches in an adjunct capacity at UNLV.
