Executive Director of ALS ONE, overseeing all aspects of the daily op's of the org., a position I’ve held for the past 8 yrs, since its founding in Dec. 2015. I work closely w/the ALS ONE research & care teams, ensuring our goals of advancing critical research while providing essential care resources & equipment to individuals living with ALS are being met. I also serve as the org’s liaison to the ALS community, helping newly diagnosed families navigate the complexities of the disease by connecting them with our partners and together, helping them live the best quality of life possible. I sit on the founding benefactor board for the Healey ALS Platform Trial, the first of its kind in the world for ALS, and I am a key member of our org’s Board of Directors. I began my career at DFCI, managing the Brain Tumor Clinic under Howard Fine, MD for 5 yrs. My true joy comes from helping others & I’ve gained considerable personal reward throughout my life by helping indiv's w/heart valve & cardiac electrophysiology issues cope w/the emotional aspects of their situation. In 2015, I was extremely honored to have been asked to lead ALS ONE by Its founder, Kevin Gosnell, who sought to change the trajectory of the disease with which he so courageously lived by uniting world leaders in ALS research & care before losing his battle just 14 months after his diagnosis, in August 2016. Accepting that position - one that arose in the form of unexpected fork In my road & one I knew in my heart that I must take, has proven to be the most rewarding of my career. The individuals I’ve met since 2015 who've been afflicted w/ALS, so many now lost & many whom I’ve become so close and have been able to help at such a difficult & devastating time in their lives - will stay with me forever. The research that we're able to advance is helping significantly & I’m grateful to help rid this world of one of most cruel, if not the cruelest, diseases that exist - ALS.Prior to ALS ONE, I mng'd 2 of the largest categories in Global Mktng & Design @ PartyLite WW, where I'd been for 10yrs, overseeing high-profile collabs w/celebrity clients & bringing products to launch in over 18 countries. While there, I rec'd the Mabel Baker Positive Influence Award, given to 1 emp. annually who best exemplifies positivity among peers. I gained my mktg & mngmnt skills @ Digitas, where I worked for 7+yrs, managing campaigns for AT&T & IBM. My vast mktg background as well as leading award-winning volunteer fundraising efforts have been key to my success in helping to raise over $14Mill thus far for ALS ONE.
