JSQ Creative Agency was founded after spending thirteen-year career in fashion design. During that time I brought many brands to life, from conceptual beginnings to full-on product design and development. Now, I use my creativity, knack for trends, and branding prowess in the landscape of digital marketing. While leading product development for a fashion tech brand, Fast Company named it one of “The Most Innovative Companies of 2017”. Since then, I was a part in developing a marketing consultancy that grew to be acquired by a public company in the summer of 2020.Innovation is how I have been able to pivot and work in many of the most forward-thinking industries. My official shift from fashion to marketing happened here, where I joined a scrappy four-person team of digital marketing consultants. And by scrappy, I mean Chief's clubhouse in NYC was our remote office from time to time, but I did slip a fancy packaged tea bag in my handbag from time to time because we were still in our... scrappy phase. In the first year, I brought on our biggest client, a concierge doctor's office from Mount Sinai Hospital, completed a branding project for NYU, and managed Etre Girls' social strategy, among countless other projects. In 2020 we grew to over 20 consultants and worked tirelessly managing branding and communication for the doctor's office and others through Covid and Black Lives Matter. By the summer, we were acquired by a public company - not bad after two years.

Develop & Design Monet handbags which is a new boutique brand for JCP. It is comprised of mostly leather bags, some non leather, and fabric evening bags. The brands heritage comes from the iconic costume jewelry that has been around since the 30's. As the designer for Monet handbags I work to conceptualize the season's collection and execute designs to final sample.

Head designer for the Dana Buchman handbag brand. Dana Buchman was sold exclusively at Kohls. Worked directly with the Kohls team to execute designs and product. Working with 2 huge companies and many different opinions to make one brand was one of the most valuable lessons I learned here. While designing the Dana Buchman handbags, I was told that the bar had been raised for all other handbag designs on the Kohls floor."

Beirn is a trendsetter's brand loved by the young and old. It's sold at luxury boutiques and department stores worldwide, including Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Harvey Nichols, and Lane Crawford. The collection of bags, shoes, belts and small leather goods are fabricated in snake skin in various colors. The original inspiration for the brand hails from Bali, where the line continues to draw inspiration from its laid-back lifestyle and year-round resort season. Responsibilities included:- Seasonal Trend Presentations- Designs / Tech packs / Sample development- Hardware design- Color development- Source novelty skins- Oversee development in China and Bali- Contribute to branding: taglines, descriptions, and online marketing (social media & blog)

During this era, every IT girl had a handbag line, including Jessica Simpson. But we were the team behind her, helping to make it happen. Our team met with Jessica on a seasonal schedule to review ideas, sketches, and samples for her approval. We followed the latest trends, applied them to the brand guide, and added a touch of Jessica flair to create one of the best-selling handbag brands in Macy's, Dillards and QVC.

Two years out of fashion school, and one year at a luxury atelier in the NYC fashion district, I wanted to learn the other side of the fashion industry straight from the source - China. Here I lived and worked at the factory to create a private label for the factory while acting as a liaison for their American and European customers. This is a factory that made handbags for Gap, American Eagle, Polo Ralph Lauren, and eventually Madewell. While design was my main job, development and production were parts of my daily tasks as I saw the product from conception to completion.This was one of the most influential jobs of my career.
