I work directly with the Communications Media Department Chair (Dr. Mark Piwinsky) daily, assisting him with tasks such as; Scheduling appointments, organizing and cataloging meeting notes, producing and implementing promotional materials for department clubs, events, and courses, cover production shoots in emergencies, monitor undergraduate practicum student hours and responsibilities and act as liaison between him and clients for the Center of Media Production and Research. I was also involved with two research projects. 1. Looking at web layouts for TV, radio, and newspaper sites in the Laurel Highlands area and 2. Screening local news broadcasts to see how much of the "news" covers local news stories. The results of both projects were presented in April 2015 at the annual Laural Highlands Communication Conference hosted at IUP.
