My passion is making small businesses appear larger than they are through the power of marketing and clean design. I love building a brand from scratch and helping GovCons achieve the next level in their marketing strategy.As a mostly-native Northern VA resident, I have been drawn to the Federal & DoD contracting space my whole career. As the Director of Marketing at Permuta Technologies, I launched an entire product line and crafted the brand for both the company and the product. While there, I designed and implemented all aspects of a long-term marketing program for a new Enterprise-wide product, which was commercially-available to Department of Defense agencies. My efforts defined the go-to-market strategy by identifying target markets, profiling customers, positioning the brand, defining service offerings, and developing the marketing strategy. Prior to establishing and running the marketing department at Permuta Technologies, I served as a Business Process Analyst serving customers including White House Communications Agency, White House Military Office, US Army Transportation Agency (White House), Marine Helicopter Squadron One, Air Force One, and Special Operations Commands. This came with some outrageously cool perks, such as visiting Camp David or being treated to cookies in the White House mess. Looking even further back in my career history, I started out as a Human Factors and Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology researcher for a Department of Defense Federally-Funded Research Development Center (FFRDC). In my free time, I try to embody a "Spirit of Giving" through volunteer engagements with Loudoun Medical Reserve Corps, Girl Scouts of America, National Parent Teacher Association, Boy Scouts of America, and the Reston Historic Trust. If you talk to me long enough, I may try to get you to attend a blood drive I'm hosting or come with me to donate at a local INOVA Blood Donor center (free Sunny D and Ho-Ho's!). One of my favorite recent volunteer efforts was to provide marketing and collateral for Reston's first bilingual baby board book all about our town, called "Reston Baby" and given free to babies born in Reston.
