About Jen Fyffe
As many in my field, I didn't set out to become a trainer. It just happened. I saw a need where I worked and pushed until I became our team's first official trainer. The rest is history...which is all listed below. ;)I naturally take the lead in many situations, including meetings, projects, and when I can see that training needs are not being met. Thus, I have designed, created, written, re-written, and facilitated many different trainings over the last decade. I enjoy helping others learn, and selfishly enjoy their thanks and appreciation when they accomplish something because of my training.

Lead Instructional Designer
Sr. Instructional Designer
Through the redesign of new hire training for a billing team, I have reduced their training time by 4.5 days, added three days of self-paced training, and begun to repair the relationship and trust between the business and learning and development team.I am an admin for our newest content development tool, mentor new team members, and provide feedback as needed.Always looking to make things easier, I have created a style guide to align with team and branding standards, serving as a QRG for new and existing L&D team members.
Instructional Designer
Through CoreAxis, I am working as an Instructional Designer. In this role, I will be working to update New Hire training to not only bring the content current, but to ultimately bring it up to today's standards in adult learning. This will include updating ILT content, converting to vILT, creating and updating eLearning courses, and developing a more robust participant guide to increase knowledge retention.
Content Management Consultant
In the Unemployment Claims division of Equifax Workforce Solutions, I am responsible for various aspects of training related tasks and processes. When Process Maps are created, I translate the steps into a simple Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for both Operators and Auditors to use to complete their daily tasks. Additionally, I am responsible for ensuring this content is maintained annually, updated as needed, and shared amongst the appropriate teams. I also assist the internal Claims Training teams, reviewing existing content for updates, testing new processes, and analyzing the current state of training to determine future needs. Currently, I am reviewing a 6 week training course and determining how to converge this with training that was acquired through EFX's acquisition of an external company. This process requires risk assessment, training needs analysis, root cause problem solving, and thoughtful consideration to ensure the training remains current with trends in L&D, while also increasing the learner's knowledge retention and improving the company's annual employee retention.
Instructional Designer
Working as an Instructional Designer, I supported the Video Repair team. I created Instructor-Led training for both new hire and ongoing training and eLearning courses. This training was for teams located all throughout the United States, which required virtual Train-the-Trainer sessions. I quickly became the go-to for a major process, self-installation, and continued to elevate training to ensure learners would benefit from training.
Business Procedures Consultant - Sustain Agent
MetLife has adopted the Lean Management style, implementing this new way of business in stages. The area in which I worked, then trained, have gone through the initial deployment. My role is to help the associates and leaders sustain this new way of a business life cycle. I coach leaders to help ensure they are using the LM tools to the best of their ability for the greatest outcome. I attend Root Cause Problem Solving Sessions to assist both leaders and associates in developing problem statements and possible solutions. I also review team productivity to look for efficiencies, which also feed into a Demand and Capacity calculator. The skills I am learning in this position are invaluable in the ever changing business world, and will serve as a great benefit in my future career.
Business Procedures Consultant - Trainer
Developing and facilitating new hire and ongoing training for GVUL in Group Operations, with the goal that the learners will gain the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in their positions. Updating and writing new work instructions for the GVUL teams helps to add to the tools they need to succeed.
