As the Guild's contract administrator, I manage and maintain their website, discussion group, events calendar, and members-only job board, act as registrar and rental coordinator for workshops, events, and the Guild's biennial conference, support the volunteer board of directors in all their initiatives and projects, and conduct regular business administration tasks such as mail and email, taxes, and licenses. As the primary contact for the Guild's 400+ members, I provide technical support on Zoom, Google Workspaces, Google Groups, MembershipWorks and more, all while keeping the Guild's website up to date and easy to use, and writing blog posts, page content, and help documents to keep our members and volunteer board in the know about current issues in the Guild and the editing world.In fall of 2020 I managed and executed a project to completely redesign the Guild's website, moving it from a platform we'd been on for five years and modernizing the look, feel, and functionality of the site according to the vision of a focus group of members, clients, and other related audiences. In summer of 2021 I ran the Guild's first-ever t-shirt design contestso that members and associates can wear their Northwest Editors Guild pride.In the spring of 2023, I coordinated website content and online access for our first-ever hybrid conference, with livestreamed video from the main room of our in-person conference, several Zoom social sessions throughout the day for virtual attendees, and limited access to all sessions after the fact. My part of this included handling registration and ticketing as I've done for every Red Pencil conference since 2017, as well as making sure that all virtual registrants (and only virtual registrants) could access the livestream on the day of the conference, selling upgrades for in-person attendees who wanted to add access to recorded sessions, and troubleshooting issues with video.

Providing expert freelance editing, writing, and web content and design services. Clients include Journey Magazine, Quarto Publishing, Puddledancer Press, the Northwest Designer Craftartists, and Seattle Neighborhood Farmers Markets.

In addition to actively seeking out writers and other contributors for the Dream Foundry's blog and developing entries for that blog, I also put together and managed a team of copyeditors, maintained their content calendar, coordinated with the leadership board, managed content via their CMS, and wrote and copyedited articles along with my team when needed.

Organized and led project to completely rewrite internal documentation for content team, bringing in new information and clarifying existing records to improve understanding both in-team and with associated groups. Trained new employees, and created documentation to smooth the onboarding process.Planned and implemented a process for peer review on the content team. Served on an inter-team forum to improve efficiency, procedures, and communication.Communicated with case originators to fill in any gaps or redirect as necessary, and wrote, edited, and maintained procedural documentation for use by coworkers, associated teams, and executives. Organized and prioritized a queue of about 9,000 incoming tasks per month, and ensured that each was correctly categorized, assigned, and contained all pertinent information, increasing team productivity and cutting down on communication failure. Utilized HTML, CSS, and Photoshop to create visually compelling advertisement and call-to-action content on websites for the automotive industry, and build sites based on dealer and OEM requirements and requests.Also edited and wrote articles for a monthly departmental newsletter.

Teaching Assistant for the Summer, 2014, Advanced Editing practicum course. Mentored four students through their practicum and career preparation projects. Acted as a resource for student questions and assisted with daily classroom activities, as well as editing and providing feedback on student assignments.

Royal Archivist Publishing was a small, exciting game-publishing start-up based out of Seattle, and I very much enjoyed the chance to bust out my editing skills in the real world. Although the company is no longer active, I learned a lot from my experiences there and had a wonderful time helping to build a new universe from the ground up.
