Director Social Responsibility
CurrentAt UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation, I get to be a part of changing lives! UHCCF provides timely financial support to families with children in need of extensive medical intervention. My daughter has a rare lung condition known as neuroendocrine hyperplasia of infancy (NEHI), and I have been the overwhelmed mother who can barely bring herself to open the hospital bill. I know first-hand the incredible amount of stress brought on by the unknown, by coordinating care, making appointments, ensuring enough supplies are on hand. But, I also know first-hand the relief of finding someone who can help you, who can take just one thing off your plate, who can give you a moment to breathe. I’m blessed to be in a position to help other parents in a similar position, and I get to call it my job!UHCCF medical grants are funded through:- Public donations- UnitedHealth Group employee giving and employer matching- Peer-to-peer event-based fundraising- and Sponsorship of regional events and programmingIf your organization wants to be a part of helping families in need while being represented at events attended by UHG/UHC/Optum leadership and employees, please get in touch with me at Jennifer.N.Havard@UHC.comOr make an online donation by going to UHCCF.org.
