This position is responsible for developing processes for new products and product improvements, rendering them safe for human consumption while also ensuring they are scalable to plant production and optimized for quality. This role supports process development across a broad range of manufacturing parameters including retort, UHT and ohmic processing, aseptic fill, hot fill and hold, fermentation, fresh processing, high care manufacturing and blast freezing and covers customer formats including cans, plastic jars and pots, pouches, industrial totes, aseptic drums and pallecons, beverages, fresh punnets and frozen ready meals.It is a highly technical and specialized position requiring a combination of a solid technical education and specific relevant experience. The incumbent interacts with individuals both external partners and internal, from product development, quality, engineering, packaging, marketing and manufacturing, working as a team to successfully launch new products and complete strategic projects. The position may involve supervising others who help in executing tests and collecting and analyzing data for thermal process calculations.
