As an entrepreneur, wedding planner, and branding guru, I have learned you don’t start a business simply because you dream of being in charge. Instead, you jump in because you have a desire to make people’s lives better through the ways in which you serve them — it’s all about how you make people feel. After spending more than 10 years in corporate events, I decided it was time to trade in suits, meetings, and business galas for wedding gowns, first looks, and packed dance floors. Technically, my role is to whip logistics into shape for my couples as the owner and lead wedding coordinator behind Klink Events. But I also think my job encompasses so much more: I plan so brides and grooms can savor every moment of the day their lives changed with their families and friends, who are all together in the same place. After experiencing the success of Klink Events, I saw an opportunity to launch another business that would again encourage others to embrace feeling like the best versions of themselves. So I jumped into the world of self-care and beauty with the launch of body and size-inclusive OC Sugaring & Skin. Together with my stepdaughter, we make sugaring hair removal empowering, relaxing, and (dare we say) fun. My favorite place to be is in the OC with my four kids and my husband. I love promoting our community and making those who surround us feel celebrated, always— and I truly believe we can make anything happen.
