DC Special Education Hub is an impartial, independent office located within the State Board of Education. It assists families in understanding and navigating special education services in both DC Public and DC Public Charter schools.◆ Conducted research on special education policy, specifically Chapter 30, leading to the creation of an 8-part "DC Policy Updates 2023" series as a family-oriented resource on social media. This series reached over 700 people and resulted in an increase in social media engagement.◆ Developed the SpEd Hub newsletter using GovDelivery, now received by over 15,500+ subscribers. The newsletter led to a significant increase in training attendance rates, a 200+% surge in event registrations, and a boost in monthly website traffic.◆ Oversaw intake and case management for over 140 cases in the past year, achieving a 98% satisfaction rate from families. Proficiently handled an average of 15+ Spanish-speaking calls.◆ Initiated collaborations with Carlos Rosario Public Charter School and Smart From The Start, resulting in 5+ joint projects over the year, and continued collaborations moving forward.◆ Played a key role in collaborating with a web developer to implement new resources on the SpEd Hub webpage, specifically adding Featured Resources and Video Library sections.

KIPP DC stands as one of the largest charter networks in Washington, DC, educating 6,800 students at 18 schools on seven campuses. ◆ Developed meaningful and authentic relationships with 30 students’ families with periodic follow-ups and phone conferences.◆ Collected and analyzed data on student understanding to inform future preparation and organization of lesson materials. ◆ Led classroom management and transitions by applying a cultural responsiveness approach.

A non-profit organization dedicated to teaching and promoting Brazilian culture and the Portuguese language.◆ Created and carried out lesson plans for students (aged 6-8) in order to develop Portuguese speaking, reading, and writing while educating students about important aspects of Brazilian culture.

DC Public Schools is the largest local public school system in Washington, delivering a free education to approximately 50,000 students.◆ Supported and instructed both kindergarten and pre-k special ed students (aged 3-6) in instructional activities. ◆ Utilized Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students that require specialized support.◆ Worked with a team to create weekly enrichment plans to support students’ individual needs.

A furniture retail company with 42 retail stores well established in Sao Paulo state. ◆ Conducted training for the sales group of 25 retail associates by focusing on inventory management, loss prevention, and completion of sales reports. ◆ Led a team of two tax assistants in the head office by providing support to maintain the accuracy of databases, and file invoices and reports sent by retail associates. ◆ Identified and analyzed issues in sales data and historical reports to ensure proper taxation and accurate quantitative input from local retail offices.
