Oversight of entire Human Resources Department, policy writing/enforcement, employee relations, labor law compliance, unemployment, benefit administration, hiring/firing, training, affordable care act enforcement, supervision, compliance/enforcement with Department of Human Services licensing requirements

-Source and recruit candidates -Interview and make appropriate hiring decisions -Perform reference checks, background checks, and motor vehicle record checks -Responsible for all new hire orientation -Attend and conduct job fairs/seminars -Manage company benefit programs -Reconcile all company benefit bills -Handle FMLA and other leave of absence requests/paperwork/follow up -Complete unemployment questionnaires and attend hearings -Review and approve employee disciplinary write ups -Develop and present trainings in compliance with licensing requirements (vulnerable adult, minor maltreatment, HIPAA) -Maintain employee personnel, benefit, medical, and licensing files -Attend meetings, trainings, and seminars -Data entry -Create and maintain relationships with colleges and other professionals for recruiting purposes -Serve on safety committee -Develop job descriptions for various positions -J and J Holmes Newsletter committee member
