We’ve been on your side of the desk and understand the business demands, competing priorities and pressure to deliver results. It’s like adding an additional resource to produce board-ready, executive-level strategy along with tactical execution. With a mix of both B2B and B2C, key clients included:

The Rightthing, Inc. 2007-09 - 2010-02In this role, I was responsible for developing marketing and PR strategy for a leading RPO provider. While managing a marketing team of six people, I created workflows to streamline sales support activities as well as RFP responses, conference planning, budget management, etc. With an emphasis on brand awareness, thought leadership, earned media, PR and speaking engagements were core components of our marketing efforts. I also led the efforts of being named #1 on the HRO Today's Baker's Dozen enterprise RPO list - a prestigous designation in our industry. Our team led the conference logistics of a 40x40 booth at SHRM which featured the giveaway of a Mini Cooper, vespas and, my favorite year, was a $5 donation to Susan B. Koman for everyone who stopped by our booth. We exhibited at more than 25 shows annually. In addition, I led the marketing/communication strategy with the acquisition of AIRS. This communication plan was segmented by audience with ownership and timing of each orchestrated once the deal was finalized. Also noteworthy, I developed an acquisition campaign that included the theme of 1+1 = 3. AIRS required a more transactional marketing approach which included an aggressive segmented email strategy with more than 20 different weekly campaigns and more than one million emails sent weekly.

Sky Financial Group 2005-05 - 2007-08Seeking to diversify my career, I moved into a VP, sales leadership position. In this role, I helped lead the implementation and adaptation of the Cohen Brown sales program. In addition to embracing and implementing a new sales culture, I led the development of sales metrics that included hierarchy ranging from Corporate - Regional - District - Branch - Individual levels. Once these metrics were in place, we implemented many sales campaigns and daily blitzes that awarded points and incentives to help drive sales behaviors. Some other key initiatives included:
-Managed the mystery shopper program for more than 350 branches.
-Developed automated reporting to streamline weekly reporting and campaign tallying.
-Led all facets of the annual sales conference for 700+ sales professionals in retail, commercial, investments, trust. I managed everything from the overall theme, booking keynotes and attendee communication/management to logistics including giveaways and bussing from Indiana, Pennsylvania, etc. to the IX Center in Cleveland.
With the acquisition of Sky by Huntington, I had the choice of taking a severance package or moving to Columbus. After 10 years in the financial services industry, I wanted to change industries. Within days of that decision, I was hired to lead marketing for The Right Thing.
