For this magazine from the Modern Luxury group, I wrote reviews on luxury Miami restaurants and articles on food trends within the city.

As the founding director and creator of the program, I taught beginning, advanced and thesis-level poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and playwriting to grades 6-12 at a charter school for the arts. In addition, I taught electives on journalism, publishing, book promotion, public relations, speech writing and spoken word performance. High school students attended the Miami Book Fair and WordSpeak poetry slams annually and participate in Master Classes with visiting writers, courtesy of The Betsy Hotel.Students won top honors from writing competitions including Columbia College of Chicago, EPIC New Voices, Jack London Fiction Competition, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth/Creative Minds, The Kennedy Center, Kenyon College's Patricia Grodd Poetry Prize, National YoungArts Foundation, Piano Slam, Poetry Society of America, Poetry Society of Virginia, Poetry Matters, Princeton University 10-Minute Play Competition, Santa Fe University of Art & Design, Scholastic Art and Writing (including National Student Poet and Gold Medal Writing Portfolio), and Sierra Nevada College Creative Writing Competition. They published their work in Adroit Journal, American Poetry Review, Susquehanna College's The Apprentice Writer, Canvas Lit, Free Lunch, Greystone, Kenyon Review, Postscript, Stone Crowns, Thrush, and more.Students of all ages won scholarships and attended prestigious summer writing workshops all over the country, including Brown University, Juniper Institute for Young Writers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, The Kenyon Review Young Writers Workshop, Stanford University, and Young Writers Workshop at Bard College at Simon's Rock.Seniors won scholarships from colleges and universities including American University, Columbia College of Chicago, Columbia University, Emerson College, Emory University, Mount Holyoke College, The New School, NYU, Oberlin College, Sarah Lawrence College, Stanford University, University of Arizona, and UCLA.

I was responsible for 1-2 in-depth posts with pictorials per month. Subjects include soft adventure, dining, family travel, arts and cultural tourism, and guides to neighborhoods, hotels and beaches.

I wrote a monthly column highlighting the features, sights, and people of Miami Shores and surrounding neighborhoods.

I provided 10Best.com users with original, unbiased, and experiential travel content of top attractions, things to see and do, and restaurants for Miami.

I wrote and edited articles on food, wine and spirits, and travel for this international niche magazine aimed toward the connoisseur and collector.

I wrote and edited reviews, columns, and articles about restaurants, wine, and spirits in the tri-county South Florida area.
