Servedmonthly as on-call community clinician serving local emergency crisis centers.

Interviewed and assessed an average of 30 new clients for counseling services eachmonth. Conducted individual, family, adolescent, child and couples counselingsessions to address physical, mental, social and emotional problems. Developed casefiles and treatment plans under the supervision of Licensed Clinical Psychologists.Referred clients to other mental health resources in the community for furtherservices. Finally getting a chance to do my heart work! Using the Housing First model, our residence is a permanent home for 32 formerly chronically homeless persons. Often dually-diagnosed with significant physical disabilities, we provide a multitude of client-driven services in addition to providing a safe, welcoming atmosphere to come home to...at last.

This was a young woman's effort to try to create equality in pay, especially amongst our educators. Guess what? It worked.

I had the immense privilege of participating in a Young Women's Leadership Retreat under the direction of Naomi Wolf and inspired by the spirit of the first WOMAN presidential United States candidate (Victoria Woodhull). This conference taught me that I am capable, and I do make a difference. I have been trying to spread this message to young women ever since.
