I am looking for my next chapter in nonprofit leadership in southeast Florida. I commit to causes and give them my all. I am looking for a new dynamic role that will be comparable to Embrace Kids in terms of assisting families and challenging my leadership and management skills. Helping children with serious illnesses and less fortunate families is highly rewarding. Embrace Kids gave me the privilege to see young adults go off to college after having met them 15 years earlier as little kids battling cancer or sickle cell. The 20-year tenure enabled me to create legacy accomplishments such as the Embrace Kids Endowed Chair in Pediatric Oncology and the David E. Zullo Pediatric Palliative Care Program. Those programs will endure for decades so I take a lot of pride in that. Now it is time for similar achievements in southeast Florida. I have always had an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset. I am an achievement-oriented Executive Director with transferable experience in streamlining nonprofit operations and delivering robust support to underserved communities. I possess a track record in consistently exceeding expectations, managing impactful not-for-profit programs and initiatives from concept-to-execution, and fostering growth by leading continuous review and improvements. I am known for two things; passion and drive. Financial Management• Achieved robust financial growth including fivefold increase in income from 2001 to 2021. • Built mutually beneficial and long-term relationships with donors to financially support Embrace Kids Foundation, including maintaining a high retention rate for board members.Leadership & Management• Acted as the primary liaison for the Foundation to social workers, nurses, physicians, administrators and the business community. Mission Fulfillment• Increased program spending an average of 10% per year. • Acted as a Founding Member of innovative pediatric palliative care program that won an award from Children’s Hospice International (2007).• Built the state of New Jersey’s largest pediatric sickle cell support program providing direct aid to families. Marketing• Conceptualized and created website’s architecture and functionality, aesthetic design, and content. • Produced, created, and directed multiple video projects.• Successfully implemented new name, logo, website, and social media for two trademarked brands: “Embrace Kids Foundation” and “Tackle Sickle Cell.”Strengthened organization’s profile by representing the Foundation as the primary public speaker.
