ROLE PURPOSE:*Collection activities include investigating delinquent accounts, analyzes accountperformance, makes recommendations to release orders on past due accounts andinvestigates bankruptcy claims.*May coordinate efforts and/or refer accounts to third party action when internalcollections are not effective. Maintains records and files and generates relatedreports.RESPONSIBILITIES:*Cash collection on a defined book of business*Work closely with clients, some of which are Fortune 500 Companies, and ThomsonReuters internal staff to resolve client disputes and follow through to satisfactoryresolution which results in payment of invoices.*Manage the decision process on disconnecting customers when payments cannot benegotiated.*Manage complicated cash application issues.*Monitor & analyze collection trends & identify debt issues at an early stage forresolution.*Aid Regional Credit Managers in compilation of monthly credit control reporting.*Recommend any changes in country credit control tiering & mapping to improveefficiency*Ensure actions from monthly business unit debt provisioning meetings are followed-up*Ensure accounting for bad debts & provisioning comply with accounting standards*Build effective relations with CA & Business Unit management. Liaise with Finance to*ensure thorough financial analyses of the viability of commercial propositions.*Help regional implementation of Credit Control Global template & country adherence

Responsible for ensuring that cash collection activities meet the requirements of the client by reducing debt aging, maximizing cash collection and collecting high quality dispute information, while maintaining a professional relationship with the client and their debtors. 1 Contact by phone with debtors to make payment arrangements/establish payment dates and resolve issues and disputes 2 Capture accurate, detailed notes of discussions and arrangements and send follow up information as requested/required 3 Meet collection targets, and ensure agreed Service Levels are met or exceeded 4 Escalate issues in accordance with escalation policy; collect, progress and escalate high quality dispute information as required 5 Be proactive and innovative with ideas to continuously improve collection-related processes, services and deliverables to the client
