Workforce Planning Team Manager
Current- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and resource utilization- Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to understand business priorities and align workforce planning efforts to meet operational goals. - Motivate and develop team by providing a supportive and challenging work environment- Support direct reports in utilizing workload forecasts, intra-day performance outlooks, staff forecasts, payroll procedures and schedule runs to proactively identity staffing utilization opportunities and take appropriate actions necessary to meeting service performance targets. -Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workforce efficiency and productivity.- Developing and maintaining robust reporting mechanisms to track and communicate FTE costs to key stakeholders- Responsible for reviewing, approving or denying time off from staff whether paid or unpaid, union or employer paid leaves, requests for schedule changes and assigning overtime in alignment with the collective bargaining agreement and management authorization while meeting operational and budget requirements - Assists in handling of disciplinary matters and actively participates in the grievance process- Responsible for the management of 311 staffing and multiple portfolios including hiring, planning, assigning and reviewing work, setting goals and standards, approving vacation and other leaves of absence, training and other work related activities.
