Interchange Recycling is a not-for-profit, producer-governed group that sustains the environmental objectives of our members. Interchange Recycling collects and recycles the products our members make and sell, which are then made available as new products. Our mandate is to provide British Columbians with an eco-friendly and cost-effective way to recycle used motor oil, oil filters, oil containers, antifreeze and antifreeze containers throughout the province.

Encorp Pacific (Canada) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit, product stewardship organization with beverage container management as its core business. As Director of Projects, I lead and manage cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and successful completion of strategic projects, with a primary goal of improving beverage recovery rates.

The Canadian Electrical Stewardship Association (CESA) is a not-for-profit organization led by industry members whose products are stipulated in the BC Recycling Regulation. As Director, I was responsible for the implementation and management of the small appliance and power tool recycling program in BC, overseeing all business activities to ensure that the organization's commitments were fulfilled.

I served as the Program Manager on behalf of Product Care Association's client, the Canadian Electrical Stewardship Association (CESA). I was responsible for ensuring that the client's commitments were met through the management of BC’s small appliance and power tool recycling program. Key Responsibilities: • Served as adviser and primary contact to the client's President and Board of Directors• Oversaw the organization's province-wide collection and recycling system and outreach initiatives • Developed and implemented strategic plans, budgets, annual reports and stewardship plans• Ensured operational efficiencies were implemented, introducing cost-effective solutions wherever feasible • Cultivated strong working relationships with the client and various stakeholders, including government, manufacturers and retailers, consumers and service providers• Managed a team of direct reports and organized supporting departments internally as well as from external organizations

As the Program Coordinator for Atlantic Canada, I led the development and implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) programs for a several provinces. Formed in response to provincial regulations, these programs involved the creation of a collection and recycling system to ensure proper management of special waste products at end-of-life. Key Responsibilities: • Preparation of annual reports for provincial governments• Drafted and consulted on product stewardship plans for provincial governments• Coordinated the development of province-wide collection and recycling systems • Prepared and delivered presentations and reports for a variety of audiences • Developed program website and public outreach materials• Negotiate contracts for service providers including collection sites, transporters and recyclers
