In my current role I am a lead security architect for business and development initiatives as well as working to ensure secure foundations of our infrastructure and workloads. I work closely with peers and project teams to perform security reviews and to provide guidance from concept to design to implementation. It is a great opportunity to spread knowledge of security best practices and to promote "building security in", while documenting and publishing lessons learned, best practices, and design patterns. I also lead and have led key security initiatives such as Artificial Intelligence, Colo and Cloud Security, mobile security , security tooling strategies, and enterprise policies and standards.My career at FedEx began as a developer and later into technical writing (business and software requirements) for large-scale automation platforms and backend systems. In this role I was a technical liaison between marketing and development teams and responsible for leading, prioritizing, and reconciling logically functional feature implementations across systems for cross-opco, corporate projects as well as writing requirements documents for planning, development, and testing.In 2006, I joined the Information Security team. My experience in Information Security coupled with my overarching knowledge of FedEx lines of business laid the foundation for my expertise to lead and contribute to high impact projects for cross operating company, enterprise-wide initiatives to ensure adherence to cyber security processes, corporate compliance, and brand protection. I also hold key research company seats for the organization to conduct industry-specific research, write executive summaries and white papers, and seek opportunities for knowledge sharing for the entire organization.
