Advance the educational mission and priorities of Wellesley College Botanic Gardens. Recruit, hire, and train student interns and fellows. Develop, manage, and assess botanical programs, tours, events, scheduling, communications, interpretation, and visitor experience. Implement strategic plans, administrative tasks, donor and volunteer relations, budgets and capital projects. Facilitate collaborative teaching, research, and community use of gardens, landscapes, greenhouses. Develop and implement diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice initiatives with internal and external partners.

Develop and lead collaborative initiatives with the Paulson Ecology of Place Initiative for experiential STEM/nature education; teach/revise environmental justice-oriented courses; develop inclusive internships, programs, events and communications.

Serve as teaching and research mentor for undergrads in botany/ecology; provide technical/design consulting on new greenhouse and landscape construction; facilitate diverse community engagement with garden projects.

Maintain and support use of academic gardens, including a New England edible forest garden, using ecological horticulture practices; lead tours; create educational materials.

Published research on root biology with a focus on food crops, nutrient use, soils and climate. Managed large agricultural experiments in multiple field sites in US and internationally, as well as greenhouse, lab, optics, and computational experiments.

Published research on mechanisms of photosynthesis with Dr. Thomas D. Sharkey. Received NSF research award and fellowship.

Published research on mammalian evolution with Dr. Emily A. Buchholtz, including fieldwork at the Smithsonian in D.C. Conducted and presented on plant biology and climate change research with Dr. Kristina N. Jones, Dr. Alden B. Griffith, Dr. T. Kaye Peterman, and Dr. Martina Königer. Received NSF research award and Brachman Hoffman assistantship.

Provided media support and event videography, including the Madeleine K. Albright Institute lectures, for Wellesley College. Provided supervision, training, tech and event support for the Science Center and Special Events offices. Conducted phone and email fundraising as an Office of Annual Giving ambassador.

Wrote business review columns, dailies, front-page features, and conducted investigative research on local businesses and industry trends.
