I love a good book. I always have. Even as a child, I could read for hours on end. I recall many a gorgeous Saturday afternoons, my neighborhood friends would beg me to come outside and play, but most of the time, I preferred to stay in and read what would happen next with Beezus and Ramona. Although my choice of reading material has changed, the joy that I get from reading hasn't. With a love of reading also comes a love of writing, editing and public speaking. I've worn many hats in my career, but keep finding myself drawn back to these basics of communication. My professional value can be summed up with the following:• Public speaking doesn't scare me, and I don't even have to picture everyone in their underwear.• I really like to win. I'm a competitive person, but also competitive with myself to be the best that I can be.• Volunteering is important to me. I've volunteered with multiple non-profits for 15 years. Giving back not only feels great, but I've also gained some valuable skills which I incorporate into my professional life -- everything from marketing to event planning to fundraising to public speaking.
