I am an accomplished educator and leader with over 17 years of experience in the pastoral and academic settings of schools in both South Africa and England. My extensive background in education, particularly within the sciences, specifically biology, has equipped me with a deep understanding of both student needs and curriculum development.I have played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of pupils across various age groups. I spent six years in a boarding house, supporting girls aged 13-18, followed by another six years leading a Day House for boys and girls aged 11-13. These experiences have honed my skills in addressing pastoral concerns, engaging with parents, and guiding younger learners in a forward-thinking educational environment.Beyond my classroom expertise, I have taken on diverse roles that showcase my commitment to holistic education. I have served as the Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator for outdoor education, been an assistant to the exams officer, a coach for top-performing sports teams, and the leader of a Sixth Form mentor program. These positions reflect my passion for nurturing pupil development beyond academics.I also possess extensive experience in leading both local and international school trips, demonstrating my ability to provide enriching, experiential learning opportunities.
