CS 307 - Software Engineering I: Responsible for advising student teams that implemented ground up basic engineering projects; advising involved implementing tech stacks, designing system architecture, planning sprints, and working through communication roadblocks among teammates. Other responsibilities included grading other team's on their performance in each sprint iteration demo and grading quizzes/homework assignments pertaining to principles of ethical software engineering practices. CS 240 - Introduction to C Programming: Responsible for helping students work through labs that accompanied coursework dealing with the basics of the C programming language. Assisted students in understanding explicit memory management, structs, pointers and function pointers, and generic good coding practices.

Software Engineering Intern in Boeing's Digital Transformation Environment, a department committed to encouraging sustainable software development methods and acceptance of technological solutions in the aerospace industry. I worked on a marketing and engineering product used to sell airplanes to commercial airlines based upon their flight capacity, airport/runway, and seasonal needs. I was treated as a regular full stack developer, working with the Java Spring framework. In addition to development framework, I was expected to learn how to use docker containers in order to manage decentralized services integral to the functionality of the sales application. I gained significant experience in test driven development (using JUnit, Selenium, and Jasmine testing frameworks) and saw the impact of how including all unit and integration tests during the building process catches significant failures during deployment. I was also exposed to RabbitMQ messaging services, Jenkins build and deployment services, as well as the Pivotal Cloud Foundry product. All of these tools and methods allowed my team and I to rapidly test, develop, and integrate code into production without any significant wait time.

I was employed as a software development intern at Meyer Tool, and my responsibilities were to update changes to an existing code base dealing with time card management, fix issues and front end bugs dealing with a quality documents and engineering specifications search query and quality documents management, as well as a capstone project to rewrite a third party software used to monitor guests at MTI locations. The guest check-in rewrite was the focus for the majority of my position, in which I planned, designed, and implemented the new system (using Ruby on Rails).

Internship was focused on mobile application development using Angular 2 ts framework. I was responsible for building out an in-house company contacts application to supplement a company website created by another intern. My application ran alongside another intern developed API to collect and send data. This was my first experience developing with a web framework, using agile methodologies, and working remotely for portions of the internship.

Conducted applied computer science research on knots and the simplification problem posed in the field of knot theory. I was responsible for working closely with my research partner on investigating simplification processes with certain numeric labeling methods, designing and proving validity of algorithms to solve simplification problems on various knots, and implement these algorithms into a functional computer program. This research was conducted under the advising of WKU Computer Science Professor, Dr. Uta Ziegler.

File paperwork electronically and physically for sample parts coming through the metallographic evaluations lab, learn protocol for mounting, grinding, and polishing samples to prep for evaluation, and maintain good lab reports for each evaluation were of the main responsibilities I had with this position.
